One Room Challenge Week 6 Recap

Week six has come to a wrap. Two weeks left until reveal day for the Spring 2022 One Room Challenge! I am 70% done with the restroom...which frightens me because I have to give it my 110% to make sure that I finish it on time. Here is what I have left to finish: -Paint -Finish the moulding & caulk -Buy the towel hook, toilet paper holder & decorate the space This weekend I am hoping to complete the moulding and caulk all the seams. I will save the painting for the very end since that is the most time consuming part of the project. Since we are on the topic of painting, I chose the paint color and went with Angel Feather by Behr.
I already painted a portion of the wall just to get a general sense of what it would feel like with all four walls painted this color and it instantly made the bathroom feel so much brighter. I liked the previous color but I just felt like it was too beige and made the room feel a little gloomy. I always get nervous when it comes to committing to a paint color because there are SO many different shades of ONE color! My husband took a peek at the bathroom and he said he was a little unsure of the choice---but I am going to push through and once everything is done i'm sure he will love it! I always say, it will look worse before it looks better. Plus, when it comes to paint... if you hate it, the beauty of it is that you can ALWAYS repaint it. It is not a structural change!
Picture above, you'll notice that I have one part of the moulding completed. This took me about 30 minutes. I ran out of supplies and am waiting to make a trip to Home Depot to purchase everything I need for the rest of the project. I will also be sharing a separate blog showing how I created this picture frame moulding detail to the bathroom, so stay tune!
Here is where I leave off for week 6! I am eager to get finished and cannot wait to post the final reveal in just a COUPLE OF WEEKS! Then... on to the next room, ha ha.
